Suggested material: paper,pencil ,eraser ,color pencil /or/acrylic with paint brush and paint palet/or /shading pencils. computers for research.
1.Students research a bird of their choice.
2.Learn important facts about it and draw a picture incorporating elements of art ,line ,color shape and value.5th grade/line ,shape, value 4th grade.
3.Students write key points of their research of bird of their choice and write a self reflection on decisions made in art.
4.Student display their art along with key points about habitat and adaptations of the bird /species.

1. Students research different habitats of birds and their key features and adaptations.
2. Then students create their own creative bird with its unique adaptations.
3. They sketch the birds on paper .give it color of their choice write down the key features.
4.Then they create a 3D birds using paper and glue.
